After my 1st place severel months ago at the "Germany's best digital photographer 2008" (by CHIP, Pentax and Deutscher Verband fuer Fotografie) I got nomineed again for a big festival event.
Sony World Photography Awards (I guess thats something like the Oscar for photographers), which are held annually in Cannes (France), the jury voted me under the best top ten photographers of the world in the category Architecture.
Top ten out of 3224 pictures submitted in the architecture category, I'd say that's very good.
Let's see who'll win. The shortlist with all top photographers in the categories Architecture, Conceptual, Fashion, Landscape, Music, Natural History, Portraiture and Sport will be announced to the international press today, 24th of February. But something is sure, my photo(s) will be printed for exhibitions and offical Books and i'll get my VIP tickets for Cannes.
See you in Cannes from 14th - 19th April
Oh and if you want to join the event, buy your tickets here: [link]
Yea, so, again I'm leaving with zeh plane to another big german city this weekend: Hamburg.
There I'll join the 'Live Photo-Contest' called "Deutschlands bester Digitalfotograf 2008" (Germany's best digital photographer 2008) organized by CHIP Photomagazin, Pentax and Deutscher Verband fuer Fotografie.
Maybe you remember that I took part in the same contest last year. So wohoo, they chose my portfolio again under the best 8 from severel hundreds. And maybe this weekend I could win the first place and take the millions home..but that would be too utopic if you ask me. Lot's of professional photographers are among the 8 so it will be a hard battle.
But it would be great if you wish me some luck!
Oh and here some photos from cologne (thx to *TempestDesign for the great pics and *passacaglia for joining our incredible team ) we had really fun over there
As you might have recognized, I'm uploading lots of architecture shots recently. Well, I sorted out my Lightroom gallery and came to the conclusion to put some architecture stuff I've made over the last months on dA.
I really like shootig architecture. The way to present a building in a different angle is always an interesting aim.
So if you're interested check out my latest and oldest architecture stuff beneath this journal and stay tuned for new pieces over the next days. I'm always open for constructive critiques and advices.
